Ronea serves as the Chief Operations Officer of the Disabled Martial Artists Alliance (DMAA), where she oversees operations, compliance, and organizational development. A Business Formation Specialist and Compliance Manager, she guides DMAA in governance, regulatory accountability, and strategic growth while ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.
Her professional background spans nearly 40 years and includes expertise in event planning, marketing, web development, database management, budgeting, human resources, travel coordination, insurance, Medicaid & Medicare, building inspection safety and risk management, along with federal reporting. She also served as a data abstractor, constructing statistical data on violent deaths for the Commonwealth of Kentucky in partnership with the Centers for Disease Control. In addition, she was granted authority through the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston to manage, hold, and oversee the secure transfer of government funds exceeding half a million dollars at one time, in conjunction with State Department mandates. She also contributed to the rewriting of U.S. Navy regulatory manuals, ensuring accuracy and compliance with updated standards.
A disabled U.S. Navy Veteran, Ronea specialized in pay and travel administration. She completed three deployments — one with Strike Fighter Squadron VFA-211 aboard the USS Enterprise (CVN-65) on its historic final deployment, and two with Expeditionary Combat units. Her Navy assignments also included Subtenders (USS Emory S. Land), Submarines (USS Michigan), the Seabees (3NCR), the Combined Joint Task Force – Horn of Africa (CJTF-HOA), and the Expeditionary Combat Readiness Center at Joint Expeditionary Base Little Creek. She is both Air Warfare Qualified and Expeditionary Warfare Qualified, achievements that reflect her dedication, discipline, and adaptability across diverse Navy missions.
Beyond her military career, Ronea has a strong record of community leadership. She has served as Chair of the Recreation Committee at Rosemont Baptist Church, Finance Officer for Joint Forces 5 in Djibouti supporting morale-building programs , Founder & Vice President of the Jessamine County Networkers, and a member of the Board of Directors for Lady Veterans Connect, a nonprofit dedicated to supporting women veterans. She has also contributed to the martial arts community as a stand-in Judge at the Kentucky State Games, reflecting her commitment to accessibility and inclusion in sports.
Academically, Ronea earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing from the University of Kentucky (2004). In 2018, she successfully completed a semester of law school, gaining valuable exposure to legal reasoning before pursuing her path in business and nonprofit leadership, which ultimately shaped her role with DMAA. In 2025, she earned a Master of Science in Physiology and Health from Maharishi International University, focusing on aromatherapy and Maharishi AyurVeda.
Ronea is also recognized as the Honorary Chef for the expatriate community in Valencia, Spain, reflecting her love of cultural exchange and hospitality. She is the proud parent of two adult children, a service dog partner as well as a backup handler for another service dog, embodying the values of resilience, family, and inclusion that DMAA champions.
